Lonesome Dove Stables is owned
by David and Amy Dean. Officially in the breeding business since 1990,
the farm has been in the Dean family for three generations. Lonesome
Dove began with one stud, Dean's Lightfoot, a black and white homozygous
spotted saddle horse, a dream and a prayer. It has grown to a fulltime
breeding operation shipping semen nationwide. Over the years, colts
from these studs have proven themselves to be blessings, in the ring, on
the trail and in the hearts of their owners. We lost Lightfoot in
1998 to a broken leg, but the Lord has his hand in everything, and Favorite's
Cream Chance was born the day that Lightfoot died. And now, in 2001,
the Lord has replaced what was lost and we're standing another homozygous
stallion, Rainbow's Alen Masterpiece, sired by Rainbow's Revelator (owned
by Karen & Mike Miller of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee). God is surely good.
We look forward to hearing from you about the horses -- there's nothing
we like better than talking about "The Boys from Lonesome Dove".
-- And in that day shall there be upon the bells
of the horses "Holiness Unto the Lord." Zechariah 14:20
